Brownies!

I have been led to the dark side!

I have been led to brownies for "chocolate week" which are really satisfying to make and yummy to eat.

Plus they are incredibly *easy*

There are many variations of this recipe that you can swap and change things to your likes...

Ingredients
200g good chocolate - I used 70% Green & Blacks (nom)
100g unsalted butter
8 oz / 200g plain flour
2 eggs
6oz / 150g caster sugar
200g of any other ingredient - I used chocolate drops, you can use walnuts, or anything you fancy

Method
Melt the butter and chocolate in a big bowl over a pan of boiling water (or microwave if you feel confident doing it that way), let it cool slightly.

Beat the eggs together and the sugar (I used a whisk) and add to the chocolate once it has cooled mixing well, then use a sieve and add the flour to the mixture and the chocolate drops.

Place in a 9" baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and then place in a preheated oven on gas mark 4 / 180 oC for 25 mins.

If you put a metal skewer in and it comes out clear it is ready. It will still be slightly soft/squishy but will harden up more once it has cooled.

Cut into little squares and get eating!
